Dreamland

This is my idea of how Derek would look if were a nudist.

In the episode: "What to expect when you're expecting parasites" we see a stained glass window of a mermaid in the sunken annex of Dreamland's castle. And in the episode: "The unbearable lightning of Bean" we see that the mermaids were involved in the big battle.

So my theory, the elves had an alliance with the mermaids. That's why images of them adorned the castle. When the humans wanted to take Dreamland away from the elves, the mermaids came to the elves' rescue. But because the humans had magic, they lost.

Throughout the series it is said that mermaids are evil creatures, but this is not true. So where does this myth come from?

Because the mermaids were allied with the elves, people thought the mermaids were bad.

These are my theories. What do you guys say?

AND I KNOW THIS WIKI IS A LITTLE DEAD BUT IM GOING TO FIX IT IM NOT GOING TO BE ADMIN BECAUSE I HAVE SCHOOL AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES BUT IM GOING TO FIX THIS WIKI AND IM SORRY IM TYPING IN ALL CAPS IM JUST EXCITED FOR SEASON 4 OF DISENCHANTMENT YESSSS

In the second episode of season 2 we can see the Inferno Stronghold and on the door lock there are these symbols. I think they stand for the different kingdoms or places.

The gemstone = Bentwood

The castle with the three towers = Dreamland

The lollipop = Elfwood

The gearwheel = Steamland

The star = Mermaid Island

The demon tail = Hell

The demon symbol = Maru

I don't know what the anchor stands for, but maybe for Atoll K. We see the name Atoll K in Skybert's electrofish. It would also go together, a submarine and an anchor

In the series one sees again and again objects or pictures that relate to water or water-related topics. There are many tapestries in Dreamland Castle showing Zøg as a mermaid. It asks me why? Because a past with mermaids has never been mentioned in the series.

Mostly it is so that tapestries with the heroic deeds of the royal family are hung in royal castles. But in Dreamland you can see Zøg as a mermaid on the tapestries and there is also this mermaid clock in town. What about the past between Mermaids and Dreamland?

Bean herself grew up in a room with a tapestry with a half-naked mermaid on it, maybe that was a subconscious reason why she fell in love with a mermaid and in the market square you can see a statue of Zøg defeating a sea monster.

Any theories what happened in the past?
