Skybert "Sky" Gunderson is a scientist, inventor, mechanic and airship pilot from Steamland. He owns the Gunderson Airships company.
History[]
He was hired by an unknown third-party (later to be revealed to be his brother Alva Gunderson of Steamland) and sent on a mission to fly over to Dreamland, spying on the primitive nation and assisting in a conspiracy to assassinate King Zøg. His airship however is shot down over Dreamland and Sky himself is imprisoned. He is however set free by Bean, who is the only person in Dreamland who takes time to learn about the technology used by Steamland rather than be frightened by it. Together, they escape and return to Steamland, where Sky introduces Bean to all the technological wonders Steamland has to offer.
Bean learns of Sky's true colors however when she overhears him planning with his coworkers that want to overthrow Zøg. When Sky finds out Bean knows about his plan, he immediately tries to have her killed. Bean is able to escape him in another Airship. Sky follows and fights her, but in the struggle Sky falls out of the ship to the ground below.
His body is never shown hitting the ground, but in the first episode of season 4, it is indeed confirmed that he died during his fall as he is seen in Hell. He is invited to the marriage of Bean and Satan along with other people who died by Bean's hands.
