Quelfolito (pronounced Kel-Fo-Lee-To), also known as "The great and benevolent god of the air", is a deity worshipped by the Quelfolitos.

In the story "The Magic Bean trilogy" from Disenchantment: Untold Tales Vol. 1, Elfo is mistaken for Quelfolito in mortal form by the Quelfolitos. The real Quelfolito is not seen in the story.

About[]

Quelfolito looks like a small, humanoid being with lime green skin. He has wings and wears a feathered headdress resembling the head of a bird.

Most information regarding Quelfolito comes from an information page within the comic.

Quelfolito is the child of the sun and the Earth, hatched from the egg of the moon. He is considered a benevolent deity who is the giver of all things good and great (and a few things that are only okay but still pretty useful). For generations, the Quelfolitos have waited for their god to come down to Earth to walk among them. However, since they know his place is in the heavens, they will perform a ritual called The Great Ascension ceremony when he comes, where they throw a feast for their god before he will fly back to the clouds. Once he does, his followers will know they have foudn favor with him and wil know great prosperity while their enemies will suffer.

Quelfolito is a god of sweetness and joy and loves parties. He is generarlly depicted with items that symbolize his strengths, like a candy cane representing his sweet nature, and a flute representing his zest for life.

Role in the comic[]

When Elfo, Bean and Luci show up in the jungles of the Quelfolitos' village, Elfo is mistaken for Quelfolito and promptly becomes the center of their worship. Naturally, his new status as a god quickly goes to his head. That night, the Great Ascension Ceremony is held with Elfo as the guest of honor. However, Luci discovers that if Elfo fails to fly at the end of the ceremony, the Quelfolitos will realize he is not a god and kill him on the spot. He and Bean try to warn Elfo, but he does not listen, and when they try to force him to leave, the Quelfolitos capture them and sentence them to death. Elfo has to execute them, but naturally can't bring himself to kill his friends and in his nervousness ends up freeing them. They try to escape from the Quelfolitos using the beanstalk that brought them to the jungle, but the plant is already falling apart. Fortunately, The Griffin is nearby and picks them up.
