Biography[]
Six years prior to the event of the series, Sir Gourmand was a noble living in a huge castle. His castle would frequently come under attack from enemies, as proven by the fact that there are multiple cannon balls embedded in the castle walls.
Bean sought him out in hopes he could tell her more about the golden chalice she is seeking for King Zøg. The guards let her in, but first search her for weapons as Sir Gourmand wants to protect his tresure at all cost. Once in, Bean finds Sir Gourmand, who is sitting on a throne surrounded by a large pile of gold. Bean tells him about the legend of the golden chalice, but after she is done Sir Gourmand declares he wants this chalice for himself and has Bean thrown in the dungeon. About 20 days later, the castle is attacked again and during the attack the wall of the dungeon is breached by a boulder, allowing Bean to escape. She sees how Sir Gourmand single-handedly takes on multiple enemy soldiers and slaughters them with ease. Bean doesn't wait for the end of the fight but quickly gets away on a horse from one of the slain soldiers.
It is unknown what became of Sir Gourmand after this.
